The cutting gate

Body
Almost every sheep or cattle ranch has one. It is a special gate used to separate animals without having to put your hands on them. You might even call it a separating gate. You put the animals in a large pen and then move them to a long narrow alleyway with a special gate at the end. There the owner stands and watches what comes down the alley and he can, with that gate, separate the animals. That gate reminds me of something in the Bible. Today in our world there is good and evil existing side by side, (Matthew 13:24-30). The Bible says it is going to get a lot worse before it gets better, (Matthew 24:9&21). But the Bible says there will come an end to those distressing times. God has a cutting chute and one day He will separate the good from bad or evil, (Luke 3:17, Hebrews 9:27&28). There are only two kinds of people in God’s view, those that have repented of their sins and put their faith in Jesus Christ, He calls good, (Ephesians 2:8&9, Titus 3:5, John 1:12). And those in the world who have not repented of their sins and have rejected God and Jesus Christ. Those He calls bad or evil, (3 John 11). We stand before God today either accepting and trusting in Jesus Christ or standing with those who have rejected Jesus Christ, (John 5:24).
