The Madison County Sheriff’s Office was called to an incident on Sunday, March 24, at a residence in the 4300 block of Shepherd Hill in North Zulch at 1:22 p.m. following reports of an accidental shooting.

The Madisonville Police Department is investigating a burglary at Mallett Brothers Barbeque, 3303 E. Main St. The suspect of the Mallett Brothers Barbeque burglary during the crime.

In a twist to the Precinct 1 commissioners race in the primary elections on March 5, a tie between incumbent Ken Starr and challenger Billy McNutt led to an unusual resolution. Each candidate had precisely 139 votes, trailing behind Steve Parrish, who had 208 votes.

Attendees of the Madison County Fair immersed themselves in the festivities, with moments captured ranging from the focus of animal judging to the joyful expressions of the fairgoers, enjoying this annual fair.

The following persons were arrested or booked into the Madison County jail on Sunday, March 17 through Sunday, March 24. All persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The Madisonville Mustangs took on the Hudson Hornets on Friday, March 22, with a 3-2 walk-off victory, as the game was tied at two in the bottom of the eighteen when Cameron Thrower singled, scoring one run.
