During the Annual KBTX Food for Families Food Drive Wednesday, Dec. 6, Madisonville’s Son-shine Outreach gained 10,000 pounds of food and raised $3,805. MidSouth volunteers helped throughout the day; some other volunteers included students from North Zulch ISD and Girl Scouts. 

On Monday, Dec. 11, the Son-shine Outreach Center, along with the Houston Food Bank, with help from the Son-shine volunteers, gave away food to 240 families, including chicken, milk, yams and grapes.
