Due to complaints on unreasonable noise

Due to complaints on unreasonable noise from large truck engine brakes entering the city, the City of Madisonville has now posted signs on Highway 90 from the south, Highway 21 east and west and Highway 75 north and south. These signs are posted near the city limits and read: ‘ENGINE BRAKE PROHIBITED BY CITY ORDINANCE’. The Madisonville Police Department will be strictly enforcing the ordinance. COURTESY PHOTO

When I first became interested in sports journalism as a kid all I thought about was the glitz and glamour of writing for a team. I failed to think about the travel, deadlines, or the art of getting the perfect photo. Don’t get me wrong I love my job, but there are times I’m drained, especially covering up to eight schools.

Local wanted on assault charges arrested in College Station

Body
Wesley Holdridge, who had a warrant out for his arrest in Madison County for second degree sexual assault, was arrested and taken into custody by the College Station Police Department May 5. As of Monday, Holdridge remained in custody at the Brazos County Jail in Bryan.

National Day of Prayer
