With the anticipation building in Texas for the upcoming elections, early voting has seen an enthusiastic turnout in Madison County. “We’ve had an excellent turnout for this election; it seems voters in the county care about these amendments,” said Election Administrator Bobbie Duke.

Independent Living Services for People with Disabilities

Crockett Resource Center for Independent Living’s (CRCIL) Independent Living (IL) Services Program helps people with disabilities achieve greater independence in the home and community. Eligibility criteria for this program requires that the applicant has a significant disability who has been diagnosed by a licensed practitioner and resides in Texas.

Lady Mustangs Ride Undefeated

The Madisonville Lady Mustangs have stamped their authority in District 4A Region III District 18 volleyball, clinching the top spot with a remarkable undefeated record of 10-0. 

The Mustangs' dominance was on full display during their senior night on Friday, Oct. 20, as they galloped to a resounding 3-0 victory against the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians.

Cycling through Madison County

Cycling enthusiast, community members, and visitors to the city of Madisonville came together on Saturday, Oct. 21 to celebrate a successful Tour de Madison Bike Ride event organized by the Madison County NAACP in coordination with the Madison County Office of Marketing and Tourism. The event, held at the Kimbro Center, marked the culmination of a thrilling day of cycling and camaraderie.
