Madison County Election results announced

The polls have closed at the Madison County Courthouse, and the results have been posted for the primary election on Tuesday, March 5. 

With a total of 8,235 registered voters in the county, the election saw a turnout of 2,107 voters in the county.

In the County Commissioner Precinct 1 race, Steve Parrish emerged with 208 votes; the contenders, Billy McNutt and Incumbent Kenneth Starr, tied in the election with 139 votes, which will now lead to a runoff election.

Meanwhile, incumbent Carl Cannon, running unopposed for County Commissioner Precinct 3, secured his position with 286 votes.

The race for County Constable Precinct 1 saw Aaron Campbell winning the election with 582 votes, beating out Les Neeley. Charles Turner, the incumbent for County Constable Precinct 2, ran unopposed and received 790 votes.
