Alene Elizabeth Richardson-Owens was born February 1, 1933 in Nacogdoches, Texas to George “Teddy” Richardson and Addie Lorene Thomas. At an early age she was baptized and accepted Christ. She lived for many years in Houston, Texas until she moved to Madisonville, Texas where she joined Lakeview Baptist Church in 1984. She was currently a proud member of the Mission Board, Women of Charity and served as Sunday School Superintendent. For many years, Mrs. Owens led numerous auxiliaries with diligent fervor and the unconditional love of Christ. In August 1997, she started the S.H.E.E.P. prayer line leading ladies in early morning prayer. She was the “Down Home Gospel Radio Show” host for KMVL for over thirty years. She transitioned in peace to be with the Lord on May 6, 2019. more

Paul Edward Clark was born July 12, 1941 in Fresno, California to Royce Clyde & Lois (Brown) Clark. He lived in Houston most of his life where he worked as a switchman for Burlington Northern & Santa Fe Railways. After thirty years of service to his career, Paul retired and moved to Madisonville where he enjoyed mowing the grass, gardening, taking care of his ten acre homestead and bowling. He also loved listening to country and gospel music and was an avid fan of the Houston Astros Baseball League. more

Betty Woodburn White, age 97, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 24th at the Manchester Care Home in Dallas, Texas. She was born in Oklahoma on November 7, 1921 and spent most of her youth in Ponca City, Oklahoma. On December 21, 1942, she joined the war effort and enlisted in the army and was stationed in Phoenix, AZ. After the war, she received an honorable discharge and moved to the Houston area where she met and married Earl White. more

Gladys E. Lacefield was born March 24, 1923 to Clifford and Alice Katy Albertson on Ennis Street in Houston, Texas. Gladys had a happy childhood growing up. She graduated from Milby High School in 1941 and soon went to work for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company as an overseas and long distance operator. more
