JAMES “JIM” ROGER SNOW 1942 – 2023

James “Jim” Roger Snow, 81, of Marquez, Texas passed away on August 30, 2023. A visitation will be held at Cozart Funeral Home in Normangee, Texas on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 11a.m. to 12 p.m. with funeral service to follow at the same location.

Burial will be following the funeral service and will take place at Bethesda Cemetery.

Pallbearers include Alan Watson, Tommy Christy, James Harvey, James Wesson, Paul Wissner, Terry Wesson, Jon Mason, David Lindley and honorary pallbearer, Ron Coy.

James was born on July 23, 1942 in Brownwood, Texas to parents Ruby and Eugene Snow. He spent his early childhood residing in Fort Worth and spent his time as a young adult in Fort Stockton. He then went on to live in San Antonio, Madisonville, Normangee, and then Marquez.

James was an employee of TMPA and Texas A&M. James enjoyed various hobbies but fishing and raising cattle were some of his favorites. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

He is preceded in death by William and Ada Snow, parents Ruby and Eugene Snow, and brother Donnie Snow.

James is survived by his loving wife Louise Snow of Marquez; children, Robin Sheridan of Houston, Lori Lindley and husband Mark Lindley of Katy, Beth Dooley and husband Mike Dooley of Yantis, and Dori Wissner and husband Paul Wissner of Richmond; grandchildren Michael, Aaron, Daniel, Christopher, David, Courtney, Ashley, James, Sommer, Hunter, Paul, and Madison; 21 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
