Lynda Annette Edwards, 91, of Spring, Texas passed away on Feb. 22, 2024 in Tomball, Texas. She was born on Dec. 18, 1932 in Freeport, Texas to John L. Rhodes and Jewel (Manning) Rhodes. Her greatest accomplishments in life were raising her child, buying her own home in Madisonville, and making quilts.

Lynda was preceded in death by both of her parents and husband, Buford “Ed” Edwards. She is survived by her son, Leslie Wade Rhodes (Lisa) of Spring, Texas; grandchild, Lindsey Kreger (Dustin) of Tomball, Texas; great-grandchildren, Jackson, Brooks and Brady Kreger; sister, Paula Sue Garcia (Oscar) of Coldspring, Texas; special friend, Kathy Honea of Spring, Texas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

A funeral service for Lynda was held 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 26, 2024, at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Joel Douget officiated the service.

Interment followed in Park Cemetery in Madisonville, Texas.

Pallbearers were R.W. Honea, Blake Honea, Michael Austin, Nick Austin, Dustin Kreger, Jonathon Brantner.

Arrangements were under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
