Michael William Alders, age 59, of Conroe, Texas passed away at home on Friday, January 7, 2023. He was born on October 20, 1963, in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Michael graduated from Liberty High School in 1983 and attended Stephen F. Austin State University where he earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice in 1987.

Known as Mike to his many friends, he was a well-known Conroe businessman before retiring. An avid sportsman, Mike particularly enjoyed deep sea fishing and wild game hunting.

Mike is survived by his parents, Weldon and Paula Alders of Madisonville, Texas; sister, Leslie Alders Shatto of Humble, Texas; and niece, Lauren Shwarts, her husband Ben, and their son Brayden, all of Humble, Texas.

Mike leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of Nacogdoches.

He also leaves behind special lifelong friends, Dr. Mark Stephenson, DDS., Art Barkis, Michael Stephenson, and Rob Haberle.

Michael’s service will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at New Life Christian Fellowship, 4111 East Starr Avenue, Nacogdoches, Texas 75961, with Rev. Dale Morton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Friends and family are invited to a visitation prior to the service at 10:00 a.m. at the church.
