Funeral services for Peggy (Morgan) Osborne, age 92, of Madisonville were held 3 P.M., Sunday, October 23, 2022 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Bro. Wade Phillips officiated the service. Interment followed in Madisonville Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Warren Shirley, Mickey Fite, Michael Osborne, Johnny Osborne, Chuck Heath, Brad Smith

Born Peggy Joy Morgan on October 23, 1929 in Houston, Texas, she was the only child of parents, Banton Austin “Bant” & Lulan (Venable) Morgan. Peggy spent her early childhood years in the Humble, Texas area and lived the majority of her life in Madisonville, Texas. She was a graduate of Madisonville CISD and earned a Bachelors of Education Degree from Sam Houston State University, where she also played on the school’s tennis team. Peggy had worked for the Gas Company for a brief time but considered homemaker and caregiver to her family her most important job. For numerous years, Peggy enjoyed “tole painting,” as well as volunteering her time in the Son-Shine Center in Madisonville. She also enjoyed having her hair styled while visiting with the patrons of the salon for the latest news and goings on in Madisonville. Additionally, Peggy had a green thumb and loved spending time outdoors.

Peggy passed away October 20, 2022 at her home in Madisonville following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by both of her parents; husband, Wallace Osborne and sonin- law, Scott Isbell.

Surviving family members include son & daughter-in-law, Clark & Lisa Osborne of Madisonville; daughter, Carol Isbell of Centerville; grandchildren, Michael and Johnny Osborne and Amy (Brad) Smith, as well as great-grandson, Waylon Smith.

Final arrangements were under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
