The 2019 Show offered a total of $9,600 in premiums that was judged by Joe Teel of Stillwater, Oklahoma. more

A celebration of Diana's life is scheduled for 11AM on Saturday; September 14, 2019 at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville, TX. Also on Saturday, beginning at 3PM, will be a service at Calvary Baptist Church in Rockdale, TX with the burial to follow at Murray Cemetery in Rockdale, TX. MaryMartha Parrack will officiate at both services. more

When “Gone with the Wind” hit the big screen curse words in a movie were, well, surprising. Things have certainly changed, haven’t they? more
It’s September, and that means football season in Texas is back in full swing. Like so many of you, I relish spending my Friday nights this time of year under the bright lights of a football stadium, munching on a box of popcorn and supporting our East Texas schools. From the band to the drill team, from the cheerleaders to the football players, I love the way this timeless tradition brings students, parents, grandparents, and residents of a community together to support both their team and each other. Additionally, we’ve got students across our region participating in fall extracurricular activities such as volleyball and cross country, with basketball and soccer just around the corner. Whatever your fancy, I hope that you get to spend some time over the next few months supporting our students and showing your community pride. more

Tyrese Brown led a fierce rushing attack for Madisonville (1-2) and scored four touchdowns while cornerback Alonzo Childress came away with three interceptions in a 49-7 blowout win for the Mustangs to spoil the Homecoming festivities in Caldwell (0-3). more
Both North Zulch Bulldogs basketball team competed and won in their home gym early in the season on Saturday night in front of a packed crowd and also celebrated Homecoming festivities. more
