The Madisonville football team fell back down to earth after an upset victory in Diboll to start the season with a 23-10 loss to Liberty Friday in their home opener at MHS. The team’s offense struggled to finish drives in the loss and succumbed to a critical goal line stand by the Panthers in the third quarter. more

On August 27, 2020 after a long battle with cancer God reached out to his child and said, “no more suffering it’s time to come home”. Mrs. Bennie Sue Wallace McCarty was born on December 4, 1936 to the proud parents of Nancy and Jack Wallace, she was born in Madisonville, Tx and lived unto her final day. She was united in holy matrimony to Harold Ray McCarty and was blessed with five children. At a young age she joined Wilson Chapel Methodist Church and later united with Sweet Zion Missionary Baptist Church. more
Myra McAdams, age 74, passed away peacefully at home August 29, 2020 surrounded by loved ones. She was born April 26, 1946 to Amos Jack & Ida Mae (West) Caldwell in Madisonville, Texas. She was raised in Midway, Texas and worked at T.D.C.J. beginning in the mailroom and later in the medical records department and at Fraley’s in Midway. Myra loved to sew and work on puzzles with her grandchildren. She was married to her late husband, Curtis Glen McAdams for eighteen years before his passing. more
