Food drive scheduled

KBTX invites Madison County residents for the 22nd annual KBTX Food for Families Food Drive, set for 6 a.m.-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Kimbro Center in Madisonville.

During this event, KBTX will broadcast live throughout the day as it works to alleviate hunger in the Brazos Valley. Shop any local grocery store to support this incredible effort that benefits the area pantries and the Brazos Valley Food Bank, a non-profit organization “seeking to eliminate hunger by the distribution of food and grocery products through a network of nonprofit organization while providing education and community awareness on issues of hunger.”

All donations will remain in the county in which they are donated.

Additional drop sites are located at the Brazos Center in Bryan, 5:30 a.m.-10:35 p.m., Navasota Valley Electric Coop in Franklin, 6 a.m.-7 p.m. and the Mid-South Synergy Headquarters in Navasota from 6 a.m.-7 p.m.
