Roundup scheduled

The Pre-K Round Up at North Zulch Elementary School is scheduled for 3:30-6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at the school.

Parents and guardians registering students should bring proof of residency, a photo ID, and the child’s birth certificate, immunization record and Social Security card.

To register, pre-K students must be 4 years old on or before Sept. 1, 2018, and potty trained.

Fundraiser scheduled

The North Zulch Volunteer Fire Department is once again offering barbecue plates as part of its annual fundraiser.

On Mother’s Day Weekend, Saturday, May 12, there will be barbecue plates that include brisket, sausage, potato salad, beans, bread, tea, pickles and onions, available from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Whole briskets are available for $70. Orders are due May t and must be paid in advance. Delivery can be arranged.

Buckle Blowout set

The Centerville FFA is hosting a fun shoot on Saturday, May 12, at the Madison County Gun & Archery Club in Madisonville.

The shoot will help raise funds for the Centerville FFA team to attend the AG Clays 381 State Shooting Contest in San Antonio in June.

Registration/Check-in begins at 7:30 a.m., and the contest begins at 8:30 a.m.

Entry fees are $75 per shooter and includes four rounds of trap and lunch. The shooter must provide ammunition. A $10 Mulligan is offered — shoot an entire round of trap (25 birds) to replace your lowest score. Entries must be turned in and paid for by Friday, May 4, and are limited to 70.

FCCLA holds events

The North Zulch FCCLA will hold several fundraisers for students who will be competing at the National FCCLA Conference in Atlanta from June 27-July 3.

A garage sale will be held from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. May 12 at the FCS Department of North Zulch Schools.

Donations are being sought for the event.

There will be a Bingo Night fundraiser in the school cafeteria on May 18 from 6-9 p.m. Concessions will be offered. Tickets are available in advance for $25 or at the door for $30. This will give you six cards for 10 games. There will be speed bingo between games for $1 a card.

On May 25, there will be a lip sync contest In North Zulch school cafeteria.

A meal will be served beginning at 5:30 p.m., and the lip sync starts at 6:30 p.m.

Costs for the both the event and meal:

•Fourth grade to adults: $10 in advance and $13 at door.

•Third grade and under: $8 in advance and $10 at door.

Costs for the lip sync only:

•Fourth grade to adults: $3 in advance or $5 at door.

•Third grade and younger: $2 in advance or $4 at door.
