The Madisonville High School graduate has been touring the country competing in team roping.

Among his recent efforts, he and Charly Crawford were third in the team roping average at a Deadwood, S.D., event during late July. They earned $2,341, according to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association. They tied for fifth in the second round to collect $735.
