Bobbie was born on August 3, 1928 in Madisonville, TX to Harvey and Maude (Conn) Sandel. She graduated from Madisonville High School and moved to Houston, TX where she studied drafting. Bobbie began her career at the Shell Oil refinery in Deer Park, TX where she met her husband of sixty years, “Kap”. She was a “stay at home mom” until her children began school and then began her second career as the office manager for NCG and Liquid Air. Upon her retirement, she joined her husband in Saudi Arabia where she visited over twenty countries and even circumvented the globe on one trip. Bobbie experienced so many different cultures and embraced the many countries she visited. She found so much joy in telling people of her many experiences of riding elephants, her two photo safaris to Nepal and Africa where she rode an outrigger surrounded by crocodiles, shopping sprees to Bangkok, haggling and bargaining at different markets throughout the world, her travels to Australia and New Zealand, experiencing the local cuisines (sometimes eating without being sure what she was eating), sleeping in everything from five-star hotels to treehouses, and taking the Rhine River and Alaskan cruises. Bobbie also enjoyed RVing where she visited all fifty states in the United States including driving to Alaska where she visited family and friends.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; her infant daughter; her brother, Langford Sandel; her brothers-in-law, Louis Thiele, Melvin Kennedy, and Elliot Hunt; and her sister-in-law, Blanche Sandel.

Bobbie is survived by her loving husband, G.T. “Kap” Kaptchinskie; her children, Patrick Kaptchinskie and his wife Laura and Karen Schroedter and her husband Pete; her grandchildren, Lauren Willis and her husband Kris, Jeff Schroedter, Jace Kaptchinskie, and Kaleb Kaptchinskie; her step grandchildren, Matthew Howell and Jessie Howell; her special great grandchild, Addilyn Willis; and her siblings, Christyne Thiele, Darlene Kennedy, Joe Sandel and his wife Peggy, and June Hunt.
