Carol Lee Theiss, of Normangee, passed away suddenly on Nov. 5, 2017, in Madisonville. She was 76 years old. Funeral services were held Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in North Zulch. The Rev. Randall Smith officiated the service and interment followed in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery near the church.
Carol Lee Theiss was born on July 4, 1941, in Houston. Her parents were Lesa and Edna (Feuhs) Bonin. She had lived the past 44 years in rural Normangee, where she spent the majority of her time taking care of her family. Carol was a devoted homemaker and an extraordinary caregiver to her daughter, Lisa. She was also an accomplished seamstress. Carol loved flowers and was a superior gardener, keeping flower beds all around her home. She was a faithful member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in North Zulch.
Carol was preceded in death by both of her parents; beloved husband, Harvey Theiss; daughter, Lisa Michelle Theiss; paternal grandparents, Norvel and Sally Bonin; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Emma Fehus.
Surviving family members include son and daughter-in-law, Lorne and Amanda Theiss of Normangee; grandchildren, Callie, Cavan, Breely, Hunter and Adaline Theiss and Allison Harris; and great-grandsons, Henry and Michael Harris.
Pallbearers were Cavan Theiss, Mike Schurmann, Larry Adcock, Pastor Paul Harris, Rodney Murphy, Dennis Theiss, Justin Lawson and Daniel Harris. Honorary Pallbearers were J.H. "Jake" Goodson, Jerry Goodson and Arch Wiese.
