Outgoing county commissioners Sam Cole and Thomas Collard expressed their appreciation at being allowed to serve Madison County at their final meeting, held Wednesday.
Collard, who will be replaced by Carl Wiseman as Precinct 2 commissioner, said the experience was life-changing.
“It’s been great. Maybe we’ll see each other again,” he said.
Cole said it was an honor serving for the past eight years in Precinct 4.
Cole will be replaced by David Pohorelsky after having decided not to run for a third term.
“I wish the new commissioners coming in the best of luck, and anything I can do to help, please call,” he said.
Outgoing County Judge then gaveled the meeting closed, without comment.
