Huntsville Christian Women’s Connection June Luncheon
The Huntsville Christian Women’s Connection will hold its June luncheon on June 20 at Elkins Lake Clubhouse, 632 Cherry Hills Drive in Huntsville. Visiting starts at 11 a.m., lunch and. program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reservations are necessary. The luncheon will feature a return performance of the Prime Time Dancers under the direction of Terri Quinn. The speaker for the month will be Kitty Kane, a speaker, singer, composer and author who shares her compelling and often humorous struggles with the “crimson streak that runs right through the middle of you.”
The cost of the luncheon is $15. For reservations, call Carol at 936-295-6178 by 10 p.m. June 17. There will be no luncheon for July or August.
Davis Family Reunion

Genealogy Weekened at Huntsville Library
The Huntsville Public Library and the Walker County Genealogical Society will host the seventh annual Frances Sprott Goforth Memorial Genealogy Weekend on Aug. 2 and 3. On-site registration for “Believe It or Not? – How to Verify Research” will begin at 9:30 a.m. for both days at the Huntsville Public Library. Programs will be presented from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Aug. 2 and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on August 3. A light supper will be provided on Friday. The Madisonville High School classes of 1954 and 1955 will celebrate a class reunion together June 22. The reunion will be from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church Wesley Hall.
