Madison County authorities announced Thursday they have confirmed the 17th and 18th cases of COVID-19. According to an alert from the county’s emergency management department, the latest cases involve a man aged 20-29 in the 77872 area code as well as a woman aged 70-79 in the same area code.

County confirms two additional cases of COVID-19

Madison County authorities announced Thursday they have confirmed the 17th and 18th cases of COVID-19. According to an alert from the county’s emergency management department, the latest cases involve a man aged 20-29 in the 77872 area code as well as a woman aged 70-79 in the same area code.

According to a report from the Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS), there are currently eight active cases in the county. Their total, however, is listed at 23 cases.

There are currently six confirmed cases at the Ferguson Unit, which are totaled separately, but none are active.
