County sends out new voter registration cards

Posted

New voter registration cards are appearing in Madison County mailboxes and all registered voters should have one by Dec. 6, according to county’s election administrator’s office.

In a press release Friday, the Madison County elections office said the new cards are orange and should have the dates of 01/01/2020-12/31/2021.

Voters are urged to review the information on the cards to ensure correctness. After making any necessary changes, voters should sign the back of the card and return it to the election administrator’s office. Any changes need to be made by the Feb. 3 deadline for eligible voting in the March 3 primary.

If no changes are required, the card can be kept and used for additional identification when voting.

If a card is not received by Dec. 6, voters need to fill out an application. Feb. 3 is the last day to register before the primary.
