Curtis Ray Hall was born July 16, 1945, in Madisonville. His parents were Marvin Theodore and Ruth (Haire) Hall. He had worked for R Construction in Buffalo as a truckdriver and later crew leader. For the past two years, Curtis had enjoyed a life of leisure, working on his tractors when he pleased, checking on the cows, watching cartoons on television and spending as much time as he could with his grandchildren. Curtis was a family man and always supportive of his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He and his wife attended as many of their events as they were able. Curtis spent some of his last days enjoying the company of his grandchildren — making them breakfast, working in the garage and sharing many good laughs with each other. He had lived in Centerville since 1986, coming from Stafford, and was a member of the Mt. Tabor Church of Christ in Madison County.

Curtis passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at his home. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; sisters, Grace Henry, Faye Simes, Shirley Vicknair and Bobbie Shiflet and brothers, Alton, George and Travis Hall. Surviving family members include wife of nearly 45 years, Darlene (Blake) Hall of Centerville; children, Robert Hall of Bedias and Tina Carter and husband, Stuart, of Centerville; sister, Juanell Crocker of Cleveland; grandchildren, Ashley Welch of North Zulch, Christina Garcia of Tomball, Luke Carter of Centerville and Landri Carter of Centerville; and great-grandchildren, Jordin and Brodee Welch of North Zulch, Harley Hall of Bryan, Stormy Hall of Bryan and Molly Hall of Bedias.
