Donald Warren McGalliard was born Sept. 22, 1949, in Ada, Okla., to Odus Lee and Mary Ruby (Woodruff) McGalliard. He was raised in Oklahoma and served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam Era. Donald had worked as a mud engineer for Rainbow Pipeline and Parten Enterprises.
Donald loved Harley Davidson motorcycles. He drove his own Harley every time he had an opportunity to do so. He also enjoyed fishing. Donald had five grandchildren and loved when he was able to spend time and interact with them.
Donald was a member of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons Bedias Lodge 651 and had lived in Madisonville since 1981.
Donald passed away July 10, 2018, in Bryan. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; a sister, Kay Tucker; and a stepson, Scott Baccus. He is survived by wife, Eloise McGalliard of Madisonville; his sons, Warren McGalliard (Christy) of Huntsville and Monty Baccus (June) of Sugarland; his daughters, D’et Hoover (Greg) of Katy and Melanie Baccus of Clearlake; and a sister, Jackie Henry of Portland, Ore. Donald is also survived by grandchildren Celeste, Ben and Paige Hoover and Ashton and Ansley McGalliard.
A celebration of life service for Donald was held Monday, July 16, at Madisonville Funeral Home. The Rev. Walt Rogers officiated the service.
