Hazel Rae Cain was born sleeping and in the arms of Jesus on March 28, 2019. As only God can do, she was perfect and beautifully made. As a family, we were able to hold her, love her, and soak in God’s grace. We could not have created something so beautiful out of something so tragic and devastating. Her life truly represented the Gospel. Our prayer is that her life was, and is, used to glorify Him and further His Kingdom.
Hazel Rae is preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Oliver Stanley, Jr. and Yvonne Huser, Robert L. Cain and Lois G. Cain Neal, Alvin W. and Lucille Smith, and William Clifford “Cliff” Kellett.
Hazel Rae is survived by her parents, Jake and Courtney (Smith) Cain; sisters and brother, May Caroline Cain, Smith McClure Cain, and Jack Oliver-William Cain; grandparents, Billy and Kathy Smith, Jerome and Dorya Robinson, and Larry and Tanya Cain; great-grandmother, May Dell Kellett; aunts and uncles, John and Tracy Priddy, John and Whitney Bankhead, Brittney Smith and fiancé Seth Skurja, and Billy Jr. and Stevi Smith; cousins, Ryan Priddy, Jett Bankhead, Bell Bankhead, Tripp Smith, Chisolm Smith, and Mac Smith.
We want to honor and celebrate our Hazel Rae and what her life represented. Services for Hazel Rae will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church - Madisonville. Brother Joshua Crutchfield is officiating. A private burial service will be held at Smith Family Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Planting Seeds Ministry at First Baptist Church. Planting Seeds is a wonderful ministry promoting and supporting the Pro-Life movement and the precious life of the unborn child.
