Herman Harris, 82, of North Zulch, passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18, 2017, in North Zulch at his son’s home. A memorial service took place Sunday, Nov. 26, 2017, at Willowhole Cemetery Chapel in North Zulch.
Herman Morris Harris was born on Dec. 1, 1934, in Houston. His parents were Willis Edgar and Mattie Francis (Folsom) Harris. Herman had served his country in the U.S. Navy, and worked as a truckdriver most of his life. He enjoyed hog hunting and riding horses. Herman had been a resident of North Zulch for the past 14 years, coming from Houston.
Herman was preceded in death by both of his parents; son, Robert Earl “Bobby” Harris; daughter, Kimberly Ann Harris; brother, James Harris and sisters, Margaret Grace and Anna Lou Harris. Surviving family members include sons, Richard Harris of North Zulch and Allen Vogler of Splendora and daughters, Cody Harris of Houston and Paula Shirley (Jeff) of North Zulch. Herman is also survived by grandchildren, Tiffany Dryer, Brandi Clay, Courtney Clay, Leah Grieve, Ashley Tupper, Hailey Pullin, Randall Sumbera, Olivia Cooper and Nathan Cooper, and numerous great-grandchildren.
