Hope is something Christians cling to

Hope in Jesus Christ is what makes us keep going down the road of life. Hope of knowing that we are only passing through this world causes us to dream of an eternal future.

Vision of a troubling day or circumstance leads us to look back at these similar things in our past. We know we have been through much tougher times and God always provides. Every situation I found myself in, I could always look and find Gods hand to lead me out.

However, it was only after God showed me why I was in that situation in first place. Only after I had run out of ideas or nothing worked, I would start remembering the hope I had lost sight of. Being a child of God does not mean you will always have a positive relationship with him. We are flesh with fleshly desires, seeking a relationship with a Holy God.

Without grace and mercy it would be impossible for us to have a relationship with God. God is the same always, we get distracted and start seeking worldly things that consume us. Hoping God will honor our relationship based on our fleshly desires. We need to remember to work out our relationship with fear and trembling after all this is a Holy God we seek to fellowship with.

Once we understand the hope God has given us we will not turn from it always acknowledging that God is God of our lives.

Now I want us to look at the world. Do you see any hope, any mercy or grace? What are people seeking or living for? Why does hope seem so far away today? What is the world seeking? They just need a little hope. Yet the creator has been taken out of the picture, even denying his existence. Where there is no hope their is no vision. When you take God out of school, out of family He will be replaced by something.

Parents and kids no longer have a relationship with each other, many are treated as pawns in the game of life. Without the encouragement of parents they have no hope. They need to be told that they are important and loved. The number one reason that kids join gangs is they want attention, structure and to feel loved. That’s sad when they don’t get that at home.

In the book of John 5:19-20 Jesus describes His relationship with His father:“The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise. For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than these, that ye may marvel.”

The first hope a child has is his father. That’s why Satan attacks the family.

Hope starts with the Heavenly Father and your earthly Father.

Looking for a graduation gift.

Give them Hope.
