Jeanette (Robinson) Ferguson, 79 of Midway, known to family and friends as “Gigi,” passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018, in Huntsville. Funeral services were held Thursday, June 21, at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville, and burial followed at Midway City Cemetery in Midway. Simon Goncharenko officiated. The visitation was held Wednesday, June 20.
Jeanette was born on April 28, 1939, in Tacoma, Wash., to Eugene and Margaret Robinson. She met and married her husband, James “Pops” Ferguson while he was serving in the United States Army and they were married for nearly 55 years raising four sons — James Jr., Robert, Michael and Lance.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her daughter-in law, Sandy Ferguson; and her siblings, Don Robinson, Bob Robinson and Beverly (Robinson) Fowlkes.
Jeanette is survived by her sons, James Ferguson Jr., Robert Ferguson (Becky), Michael Ferguson (Sabra), and Lance Ferguson (Sherry); 14 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sisters, Margie (Robinson) Critchlow and JoAnn (Robinson) Sands; and Ivan, Tina, and June, who Jeanette loved as her own children.
