Joe Louis Canady departed this world to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018, at the age of 77. Joe was born on July 4, 1940, in Madison County to the late Sam Canady and Ella Lee Mack. He lived most of his life in Madison County where he attended Marion Anderson schools. After graduation, Joe enrolled in Mary Allen College in Crockett. Joe was a retired employee of the State of Texas Department of Corrections system. He was baptized at an early age and was a faithful member of Sweet Zion Missionary Baptist Church until his passing.
Joe is survived by his daughter, Avery M. Tyler, her mother, Lee A. Tyler, and her brother, Robert L. Tyler of Houston; nephews, Lawrence Carter of Bryan, Morris Carter of Spring, George Dunn of Madisonville; and a number of cousins. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and his four brothers, L.V. Canady, Artes Lee Canady, Archie Canady and Prince Earl Canady.
Memorial services for Mr. Canady will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at Sweet Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 305 Bogan St.
