Just 28 hours after coming into our world, Kourage Valor Lucherk passed away peacefully in his parent’s arms into the hands of Jesus at the Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station after struggling with a congenital diaphragmatic hernia.
Kourage was born on Aug. 29, 2018, in College Station, 14 weeks early and weighing 2 pounds and 3 ounces. He was able to grip his mother's and father's finger, he responded to his big sister Kaisley's, voice, and he continued to feel the touch of his twin brother Krete. He appeared perfect; with dark hair, brilliant eyes, delicate hands, and long slender toes. He passed away on Aug. 31, 2018, in College Station.
Kourage is survived by his fraternal twin brother, Krete Kyle Lucherk; his mother and father, Casey (Kyle) and Kie Lucherk of North Zulch; his big sister Kaisley Corene Lucherk; his grandparents, Brian and Renia Kyle of North Zulch, and Glenda Heins of Magnolia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends who loved him very much.
A visitation will be held at Rock Prairie Baptist Church in North Zulch from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, followed by the funeral service. Kourage will be laid to rest at the Donaho Family Cemetery in North Zulch immediately following the service. The Rev. Olan Weaver will officiate.
The family would like to thank and express their gratitude to the Baylor Scott & White Hospital staff for their tremendous effort, dedication, incredible care and support provided to Kourage and his entire family. The family also appreciates all thoughts and prayers during this time.
