The Madison County local Salvation Army has the following people that are actively involved with it. William C. “Bunkin” Bennett is the local unit Chairperson, Tammy Hoke is the local Treasurer and Becky Blair runs our Christmas Kettle bell ringing program.

All funds raised each year through our Christmas Kettle bell ringing at our local Wal Mart are used for local needs. We normally raise between $5,000.00 to $8,000.00 during the holiday season. Last year we raised approximately $6,000.00 and year to date have spent this on local aid to needy families. We have spent this on 26 families and our current balance is less than $500.00.

Our funds are spent on motel rooms, Christmas gifts, medical and pharmacy, rent, and the majority for utilities.

If you would like to volunteer to be a bell ringer during the holiday season, contact Becky Blair at J & B Propane, if you would like to make a donation, please send it to Tammy Hoke at Prosperity Bank (make your check payable to The Salvation Army, for local aid) Thanks in advance for anything you do, and God bless Madison County
