Madisonville High School golfer Brylen Mills officially committed to continue his athletic career at the collegiate level at Tyler Junior College, MHS golf coach Russell Smith announced via email last week.

“Because of the situation we are currently in, (Mills) will not be able to sign his letter of intent until May 15 at the earliest,” said Smith. “This young man has worked extremely hard in developing the skills necessary to compete at the next level. I look forward to seeing him play (at Tyler) in the near future.”

Mills finished in the top-10 in every tournament he participated in over the last two years, winning four tournaments in 2019 and two more this year before the spring season was cut short due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The two-time state qualifier and three-time regional qualifier will be coached by Sandy Terry at Tyler Junior College.
