Mustang band hosts this annual market day Saturday

Posted

Even as they prepare for the Spring Blast Concert, 6 p.m. April 30 in the Competition Gym, the Madisonville High School Mustang Band will hold its third annual Mustang Band Market Day Saturday at the Kimbro Center in Madisonville.

The arts and crafts festival will feature a variety of booths, with products for sale such as homemade soaps and lotions, home and health items, jewelry and items from brands like Paparazzi, Pink Zebra, Tupperware and Pampered Chef.

A silent auction will feature items from several local businesses as well as market vendors.

Also during the festival, band members will be selling “Burgers-on-a-Bun” sack lunches for $10, which includes a burger, chips, cookie and drink.

Preorder tickets will be sold for lunch bags all this week by all band students in grades 6-12. Buyers bring their tickets to Market Day between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pick up their bag.

Lunch tickets are also available on Saturday. The Mustang Jazz Band will be performing at 1 p.m.

Proceeds from Market Day go towards the band’s next “big trip,” slated for 2022.
