Mustangs garner awards at Anderson-Shiro


ANDERSON — The Madisonville cross-country team showcased a lot of talent in their fifth meet of the season last Wednesday at Anderson-Shiro High School.

The Varsity girls took first place while the Varsity boys placed second, and 11 Mustangs left with individual medals.

“I want to congratulate all the athletes on a job well done,” said head Madisonville cross-country coach Jo Dorman. “They did a tremendous job representing our district.”

The junior high boys placed third in the meet while the girls placed second.

The next meet for the Madisonville cross-country team will be the Golden Eagle Run meet at Fairfield High School on Saturday. This will be the final regular meet of the season before the district meet on Oct. 12. The district meet will also take place at Fairfield.
