Nolan Allen Young, 91, passed from this life on Feb. 25, 2020. He was born in the Loma Community in Grimes County, Texas on Nov. 8, 1928. Nolan was a loving husband to Bonna, his wife of 62 years, who preceded him in death in 2011. He was a caring father and grandpa who especially doted on his grandkids. Other than the love for his family and God, he enjoyed singing and playing country music above all else.

Nolan Allen Young

Nolan Allen Young, 91, passed from this life on Feb. 25, 2020. He was born in the Loma Community in Grimes County, Texas on Nov. 8, 1928. Nolan was a loving husband to Bonna, his wife of 62 years, who preceded him in death in 2011. He was a caring father and grandpa who especially doted on his grandkids. Other than the love for his family and God, he enjoyed singing and playing country music above all else.

Nolan is survived by three sons and their families, 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and friends, including his childhood friend Jackie (Thomas) Alford, who helped him enjoy his later years of life. He was preceded in death by two great grandchildren, Maddie and Tanner.

A viewing will be held on Sunday, March 1, from 1-3 p.m. at the Cypress-Fairbanks Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 2 at the Jersey Village Church of Christ, followed by a 4 p.m. interment at Ten-Mile Cemetery in Madison County.
