The North Zulch Booster Club will hold a ‘Harvest Hoedown DJ and Dance’ benefit on Saturday night at the Madison County Fairgrounds.
The event kicks off at 8 p.m. and will be open to all persons ages 18 and up. Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door and will cost $10 per person or $15 per couple. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own bottles and snacks will be available for purchase.
The North Zulch Booster Club is a 501c3 that fundraises throughout the year in order to be able to bid on and potentially purchase projects at the Madison County Fair. The club works closely with the community to assist in 4-H, FFA and FCCLA to help offset expenses while encouraging leadership and responsibility.
“This dance is the first time we have expanded our efforts into a county-wide event,” said the Booster Club’s Treasurer Melissa Radde. “Madison County Fair is a great asset to the county and continues to grow, so a dance would be a fun way to bring everyone together to have some fun and help out the kids. This is our first attempt at this fundraiser and we are hoping it goes well.”
Typically, the Booster Club will hold at least three major fundraisers throughout the school year. The Annual Homecoming BBQ and Auction in November is the biggest and oldest. Another is February’s Steak Dinner. Because of increased participation, a third was added for September several years ago.
The dance is being organized by the North Zulch Booster Club parents, grandparents and community members.
