Rebstock, 4-H locals compete

A number of Madison County 4-H students competed in the Texas State 4-H Shooting Sports Games at the National Shooting Sports Complex in San Antonio earlier this month and local archer Zach Rebstock continued his success in the sport by earning the title of Reserve Champion.

Rebstock, 4-H locals compete

A number of Madison County 4-H students competed in the Texas State 4-H Shooting Sports Games at the National Shooting Sports Complex in San Antonio earlier this month and local archer Zach Rebstock continued his success in the sport by earning the title of Reserve Champion.

Rebstock has compiled countless awards relating to archery since he started officially competing last year. In San Antonio, he brought home six additional medals on top of his Reserve Championship.

Rebstock also earned First Place in the Modified 600 event, Second Place in Field, Second Place in Wand, Second Place in 3-D, Second Place in Team Relay and Fifth Place in Clout.

Other attendees from Madison County included the 4-H shotgun club, compiled of Megan Nuernberg, Tucker Brown and Samantha Springfield.

Shotgun disciplines in San Antonio included Modified Trap, International Skeet, Sporting Clays, Whizbang, American Trap and American Skeet.

Megan Nuernberg placed Eight overall in Senior 2 Ladies and Samantha Springfield placed 14th overall in Senior 1 American Events.
