16-year-old Zach Rebstock of Madisonville 4-H, who has compiled a number of top finishes in archery since picking up the bow, earned another first place prize at the State Fair of Texas in Dallas over the weekend.

Rebstock competed in and won the Senior Compound Aided Division before advancing to a final shootout between the winners of each division. The competitions took place on both Saturday and Sunday.

Rebstock would go on to win High Individual in the Senior Division and was presented with a banner and belt buckle for his performance. He has been shooting for over five years now and continues to garner awards from the highest level of competition.

“It is the kind of thing where you get out what you put in,” said Rebstock. “You have to work for it and practice the same shot over and over. It is just about practice.”

Rebstock either practices at his home or at the Saddle River Range in Conroe.
