Robert Adams


Memorial services for Robert Adams, 83, of Madisonville, were held Friday, Dec. 29, 201,7 at Madisonville Funeral Home in Madisonville.

Robert Dale Adams was born on July 12, 1934, in Mankato, Minn., to Carrol and Evelyn (Larson) Adams. He grew up in Minnesota and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. Robert worked as a pilot for Texas International Airlines which later became Continental Airlines. He served as president of the pilot's union while working for Continental and was a member of the Air Line Pilot Organization (ALPO). Robert was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Association and a Master Mason and past Grand Master of the Bedias Masonic Lodge AF&AM. He enjoyed fishing and trail riding in his spare time.

Robert passed away in Huntsville on Dec. 24, 2017. He was preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers, Stanley and Kenneth Adams; and sister, Hope Adams. He is survived by wife, Carla Adams of Madisonville; his sons, Terry Adams of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Scott Adams (Kate) of Rice, Minn.; a daughter, Sandra Bendix (Delroy) of Porter; his stepsons, Robert Eastham of St. Louis Park, Minn., and John Eastham of Hugo, Minn.; a stepdaughter, Tonya Puckett of Meridian; his brothers, Charles Adams (Fay) of Houston and J.D. Adams (Jo Ann) of Jacksonville, Fla.; and a sister, Carol Ann Fenske of Paynesville, Minn. Robert is also survived by eight grandchildren, four step-grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Madisonville Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
