Soccer coaches to hold camp

Madisonville soccer coaches Baltazar Reyes and Travis Rasbeary will be offering a soccer camp at the high school field for pre-K through sixth graders from 3:45 to 5:15 on Sunday and Monday.

“We will teach the kids different soccer fundamentals such as passing, shooting, dribbling, different styles of play and rules of the game,” said Reyes, the men’s soccer coach at Madisonville.

This will be the third year of the soccer camp here in town and Coach Lindsey will help run the event as well. The camp comes just over a month after the Madisonville men’s program made it all the way to the state semifinals.

“There has always been interest in soccer in Madisonville,” said Reyes. “The support has come from the community as well as the administration here ever since our first season.”

The deadline to sign up and receive a camp shirt has already come and gone, but attendees can still register up until Friday.
