The Iola Community Center is preparing for the Iola Hay Day Festival. It will take place Saturday, Oct. 13, Homecoming Weekend. Festivities will begin at 8 a.m. with a 5K Bulldog Dash. At 9:30 our Parade will begin to travel down Main Street. Games and vendor booths will open at 10 a.m. and be open until 2 p.m. We will also have entertainment throughout the day. Bring your whole family and enjoy the day.

•Iola elementary will be having Meet the Teacher on Aug. 17 from 5:30-7 p.m.
•Senior shindig will be Aug. 9 at 1 p.m. in the high school cafeteria.
•School is set to start August 22, and I don’t know about y’all, but I am ready for cooler weather, Friday night lights and to get back into the school routine.
