Victor Paul Landry, 69, of Hearne, passed away after a brief illness on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at the VA Hospice Care Facility in Temple. Mass will be celebrated and a rosary will be held at a later date at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Madisonville, with the interment of the ashes at Willowhole Cemetery in North Zulch.
Victor was born on July 8, 1949, in Houston, to Burke and Lena Lou (Coolidge) Landry. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having spent two years on submarine detail during the Vietnam War. Victor was a member of American Legion Post 159, was a member of the Republican Party and attended The First Baptist Church in Hearne.
Victor's wife, Elaine, was the love of his life. They made many friends at church and raised and loved their registered English bulldogs, who were their babies. He will be missed by Gunny, Misty, and Bandit.
Victor was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Landry; his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. T.C. Coolidge; his sister, Beth Landry; and his nephew, Josh Collard.
Victor is survived by his parents; his wife, Elaine (Montandon) Landry; his daughter, Renelle Landry Berger; his sister, Glenda Landry Collard and brother-in-law Eddie Collard; his niece, Rene' Collard McBride and her husband Jeff McBride and their children; his nephew, Bradley Collard; his great-niece, Megan McBride Lohner and her husband Logan Lohner; his great-nephews, Jacob McBride, Mark McBride and Lewis Joe Collard; and his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
