Kaylie Smith, a compassionate worker at the Madisonville Animal Control Division, has raised concerns over the lack of essential resources available to the animals under their care. In her heartfelt plea, she emphasized the pressing need for more fosters and adopters to assist with the growing number of stray animals seeking refuge at the shelter.

16-year-old Madisonville native, Luke Coleman, roped his way to success at the International Finals Youth Rodeo (IFYR), the richest youth rodeo in history. “Riding horses is in my blood,” said Luke when asked how long he has been involved in the rodeo world. Luke’s father, David Coleman, was very successful in the cutting industry, and luckily, his passion was passed down to his son.

Excitement filled the air in Madisonville as a film crew arrived in town to shoot scenes for an upcoming movie production. From Friday to Monday, various locations around town served as the backdrop for the film, creating a buzz of anticipation and curiosity among residents and visitors alike.
