Madison County Sheriff's Office Responds to Welfare Concern

In a press release issued by the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, it was confirmed that on August 18, at 4:44 a.m., deputies from the Sheriff’s Office responded to a welfare concern call in the 21000 block of OSR in Madisonville. The call led officers to a residence where they discovered the body of a deceased male.

Firefighters Contain Fast-Moving Grass Fire Near North Zulch

North Zulch, TX - A swift and fierce grass fire that erupted on Sunday, August 20, at noon has been successfully contained by diligent firefighting efforts near North Zulch. Initial reports prompted evacuations, but as of the latest updates from emergency management, the necessity for evacuations has subsided.

The Madisonville community will unite on Friday, August 25, 2023, at 9:00 A.M. in front of the County Courthouse to pay tribute to the 13 U.S. service members who tragically lost their lives during the tumultuous evacuation of Afghanistan on August 26, 2021.
