North Zulch — A series of motor vehicle burglaries sent shockwaves on Saturday, Oct. 14. Law enforcement authorities, including deputies, investigators and Sheriff Bobby Adams, swiftly responded to the reported incidents, leading to a significant breakthrough in the case.

Cycling enthusiast, community members, and visitors to the city of Madisonville came together on Saturday, Oct. 21 to celebrate a successful Tour de Madison Bike Ride event organized by the Madison County NAACP in coordination with the Madison County Office of Marketing and Tourism. The event, held at the Kimbro Center, marked the culmination of a thrilling day of cycling and camaraderie.

Madisonville — The Interstate 14 study open house meeting took place Wednesday, Oct. 18, marking the commencement of a significant transportation initiative in the Central Texas region.

The Guidry Rodeo Company was founded in 1992 by Vernon Guidry. Originally from Houma, Louisiana, Vernon now calls Madisonville his home.

For some, it will be a time to mourn as we lose an hour of afternoon daylight while others will be ecstatic to turn the clocks back one hour, giving more daylight in the autumn and winter mornings and earlier darkness in the evening.

On Friday, Nov. 3, the city of Madisonville is hosting its first ever Senior Game Night at the Truman Kimbro Center on the Square. While called Senior Game Night, this event is open to anyone in the community.

Early voting is now underway for the Nov. 7 general election. Voters will decide the fate of 14 proposed amendments, including measures to provide property tax relief and raise the homestead exemption to $100,000.
