Larry Thomas was born July 25, 1948 and departed this life August 16, 2023. He met and married the love of his life, best friend and soulmate August 1972.

On December 9, 1938, in Grimes County, a joyful bouncing baby boy, the tenth child of fourteen was born to Omie and Lois Holiday by the name of Iron “Doc” Holiday. Iron accepted Christ at an early age under the leadership of Rev. W.H.T.

Martha “Diane” Mueller, age 79, of Madisonville, Texas passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loved ones August 3, 2023. Diane was born March 29, 1944 in San Antonio, Texas to parents, Douglas Bailey & Helen (Kalil) Caldwell.

Bobbye Ruth Burke, 89 of Houston passed away July 30, 2023. Bobbye was born April 24, 1934, in Livingston, Texas to Stafford and Ruth Manning.

A homegoing service for Ira Lee Mosley, age 85, of Bedias, Texas was held 11 A.M., Saturday, August 5, 2023 at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. Interment followed in Lone Star Cemetery, Bedias, Texas.

Gerald Thomas “Jerry” Culver passed away on July 28, 2023 at the age of eightynine at the home of his daughter & son-in-law, Kathy & Kendrick Wick, near Sealy, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife of sixty-one years, Christene and brother, Robert. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy and son-in-law, Kendrick; his sister, Nancy Anton and many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calvin Deryl Cobb passed away on July 26, 2023 in The Woodlands, Texas at 68 years young. He was born on November 26, 1954 in Groesbeck, Texas to Deryl Calvin Cobb and Janice Schrader Cobb.

Danny Ray Mallett; 66 years of Iola, TX; passed away on Thursday; July 27, 2023 in Iola, TX doing what he enjoyed – working cattle. Danny’s life will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday; August 6, 2023 at The Bedias Baptist Church in Bedias, TX with Bro. Nathan Hoke and Bro. Jerry Allen Cole officiating.

Wilmer Lee Lawson, age 78, of North Zulch, Texas passed away on July 23, 2023 in Houston, Texas. He was born on November 12, 1944 in Freeport, Texas to W.A. “Buster” and Corine (Glass) Lawson. Wilmer, also known as “PaPa,” doted on his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He followed his granddaughters from softball games to stock shows. Wilmer loved taking care of his cows, maintaining his yard and gardening to perfection.
