1958-2024

Arthur Gene Evans, Sr., aka “Aim-Gennie Baby,” was born on Jan.12, 1958 to Welton Billy Evans and Edna (Donaldson) Evans.

Arthur accepted Christ at an early age. He came from a family of strong faith walkers and believers. Arthur found Christ at his family home church, Wilson Chapel Church Of God In Christ, founded by his grandfather, Lon Evans.

Arthur attended Madisonville High School where he graduated and was a star football player; he was non-stoppable on the football field.

Arthur was self-employed as a truck driver; the 18-wheeler was his heart, passion and “wife.” He drove that truck until the end. “104 good-buddy.”

Arthur was very loving, humble, compassionate and easy-going.

He rarely got upset, but when he did, watch out.

He was the baby of the family. His mom would say he was her best and most humble child. The other siblings often said he was the picked favorite child.

Arthur was a provider, helpmate, country western king, peacemaker and a real joker. Author enjoyed family, country music, drawing, and playing his guitar. On March 10, 2024, Arthur took his last breath, and the harp of music played a different tune. Now he can rest with no more pain.

Arthur was preceded in death by his father, Welton Billy Evans; three brothers, Jessie B. Evans, Welton Evans and Norris Evans; and his golden angel, his son, Nico Evans. Arthur leaves his mother, Edna (Donaldson) Evans; wife, SharonLynn Evans; six children, Jamie Gaffney, Latasha Evans, Arthur G. Evans, Jr., Ashley Porter Evans, Anthony Evans and Fiona “Boss Lady” Evans; grandchildren, Sortorie Goffney, Mercedes Evans, Dylan Goffney, Jordan Montell Fonseca, Angelique Evans, Austin Goffney, Z’Vondrick Evans, and Sha’Kyra Owens; siblings, Ethel Clifton, Ruby Young (Steve), and Joe Baily Evans (Laquivelyn “Lottie” Evans); twin sister, Gloria “Peg” Johnson (Rick); fatherin- law, Jack Valentino; mothers-in-law, Theresa Valentino and Lois Valentino; brother-in-law, Joseph Valentino (Jacquline Nabb); sister-inlaw, Stephanie Wooten; best friends, Wilma Donaldson and Rose Williams; trucker buddy, Tim, aka “Smokey”; favorite niece and texting buddy, “Rena”; nieces, Serenity Valentino, Jessica Wooten and Kimberly Freese; nephews, Michael Nabb, Ryan Perez and Clint Perez; dog, Dude; and a host of extended family, nieces, nephews, friends and associates.
