1942 -2024 Ellis Wayne Page, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away on February 24, 2024, at his home in Midway, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Galveston, Texas on November 12, 1942, to Hamp Edward & Agnes (McDuffie) Page, Ellis enjoyed a life filled with simple joys and meaningful connections.

In his younger days, Ellis found solace and excitement in water skiing and camping in tents, creating cherished memories under the open sky. A frequent visitor to Lake City, Colorado, his favorite vacation spot, he transitioned from tent camping to exploring the great outdoors in an RV and later cozy cabin stays. Ellis found contentment in riding four-wheelers, sharing stories by the campfire, and living a life connected to nature’s beauty.

Professionally, Ellis dedicated thirty-five years to the Petro- Chemical Industry at the Occidental Company (formerly Diamond Shamrock) in Deer Park, Texas, where he raised his family and worked diligently. Transitioning to Midway in 2002 with his devoted wife, Mary Ann (Horne) Page, Ellis spent his days tending to his yard, nurturing a flourishing vegetable garden, and engaging in the art of woodworking. In his later years, he found joy in handcrafting Dulcimers, a reflection of his creative spirit and commitment to lifelong learning.

A man of faith, Ellis was a proud member of Harvest Church in Crockett, Texas, finding strength and solace in his spiritual community. Above all, Ellis was a dedicated family man, cherishing moments spent with his loved ones and creating a warm and loving home for all. Ellis was predeceased by both of his parents and grandson, Justin Sipe.

He is survived by beloved wife, Mary Ann Page of Midway; children, Sherlee (David) Sipe of Houston, Brian (Kelly) Page of Willis and Laura (Dean) Schaefer of Deer Park; grandchildren, Ashlee (Zack) Fennell, Taylor (Kevin) Markham, Brandon Schaefer, Brittany (Kyle) Breakiron, Cody (Taya) Schaefer, Zach (Michelle) Sipe and Garrett (Shelbie) Sipe; and great-grandchildren, Zoe, Ryker, Hunner, Raelynn, Everly, Brody, Brian, Greyson, Emalyn, Ryder, Chandler, Sterling and Jackson.
