Herbert Lynn “Herbie” Hutchins, 68 years and 27 days of Madisonville, passed away on Friday; Oct. 20, 2023, in Houston. Herbert’s life will be celebrated 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2023, at Day Funeral Home Chapel in Madisonville with the burial to follow at Falba Cemetery in Huntsville. Visitation is scheduled to begin 2 p.m. prior to the service. Herbert’s nephew, Weston Savell, will officiate.

Herbert was born on Sept. 23, 1955, in Pasadena to Herbert and Pearl (Breneman) Hutchins. He graduated from M.B. Smiley High School in Houston in 1974 and retired from the petroleum industry.

Herbert was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife, Diann (Langley) Hutchins; his children, Sonya Mitchell (Dallas), Tonya Fickey, Nickie Yosko (Rick) and Terry Glenn Fields; his grandchildren, Zoey and Kyler Mitchell, Jana Delgado, Joey Fickey and Will Spillars; his great grandchildren, Audrey, Aiden and Ava Delgado; his siblings, Gary Hutchins (Paula) and Shirley Nuckolls (Ron); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers are Terry Glenn Fields, Dave Fite, Brent Hutchins, Travis Hutchins, Matt Phillips and Corey Savell.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Jack Brewer, Andy Clank, Floyd Jackson, Craig Lansford, Ricky Peeples and Gary Potter.
