1938 - 2024

On Nov. 9, 1938, Inez was born to the union of James A.D. and Minnie Bell Coleman. She was born in Douglassville, Texas and later moved to Normangee, Texas. Inez worked as a private caregiver for many years. She worked hard to make sure her family always had what they needed.

Inez was preceded in death by her mother, Minnie Bell; father, James A.D.; stepfather, Harvey Drewey; brothers, George, Richard, James, Jr., Michael and Alfonso; sisters, Evelena, Janie Pearl and Pauletta; son, George Coleman; daughter, Alice Dewberry; and grandchild, Latasha Coleman.

Left to cherish the love, life and memories are daughter, Carolyn Jones (Eddie Jones, Sr.); sisters, Deborah, Jackie, Wytina and Valerie; along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A homegoing celebration for Inez Coleman was held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas. She was laid to rest in Culton Cemetery, Leona, Texas.

Pallbearers were Joe Brooks, Douglas Brooks, Frank Brooks, Spencer Mayes, L.D. Mayes, Anthony Coleman.

Honorary Pallbearers were Robert Winn, Desmond Mayes, Charlie Ray Cornish, Najuwan Reyes, Bryson Cornish, Braylon Cornish, Damien Anderson, Gene Clay, Mario Cornish, Kadel Haynes, Cedrick Brice, Jr., Quentin Mayes, Montavius Harrell, Isaac Curtis, Izaha Jones, Elijah Eastern, Reginald Robinson, Taurean Smith. Arrangements were under the direction of Madisonville Funeral Home, Madisonville, Texas.
